Love is painful. It's always painful. If things work out, then it's a good kind of pain. If they don't, then it's a dull permanent ache, that you can tune out sometimes if you're lucky enough and have amazing friends.
Stick by your friends. Don't ever think they're second best if you're not in a relationship. They're first even if you are in one. Always.
